A Poem to Mistress Angelique

Mistress Angelique was so touched by the poem her Bill wrote, she chose to share it with all of us.

What If

by Mistress Angelique's Beloved Bill

what if I were
to take my heart
and lay it on the table
would you move your fingers
'round in it
think you would be able

and if I opened up
my veins to you
to offer drink with dinner
would you savour it
like cherry wine
seeded in the vineyard

and if I were to
offer up this life
into your hands
would you deflower it
devour it
make of it a snack

and if I were to tell you
how I feel the pain
in ripples
would you sink your teeth
into my skin
and tear at my nipples

and if there were a beast to slay
to save the lips
your kissin'
would you take the knife
take the plunge
to complete the mission

and if I were mistaken
cursed at you
and cussed
would you use
your magic powers
to turn me into dust

and if I woke you
in the night to
tempt you from your coffin
would you rise above
the sudden fright
and take up my offer

and if I were to
make myself
a gift that is worth givin
would you take the time
to make a bow
and wrap me in your ribbon

and if I woke
in sudden sweat
one solitary night
would I find you
up and waiting
staring with delight

and if I were
to lay for you
with all that I have left
would you drain me
of my spirit
leave your mark upon my neck

and if I were to give you
all the things
you say you're missin'
would you join the dance,
take the chance
to fulfill your vision

and if I were to
drip my soul
into your chalice
would you meld with me
in communion
in your golden palace

and if I could
prove to you
the end is not the end
would you promise
to come after me
after I am dead

and if I showed you
every twisted
yearning of my lust
would you turn away
in horror
would I lose your trust

and if one night
you were to
take me from the grave
would you answer
all my prayers
make of me your slave
